Darra is our middle child. Our home is her third including her breeder home. The couple that first had Darra decided after three days that they were just not ready for another dog. Darra was to replace a dog the couple had lost. Darra was 8 weeks old when all of this transpired and it definitely scarred her emotionally. Darra was somewhat fearful for along time but with much patience and much time we have worked out a lot of her issues. Darra is a prime example of how sensitive Leos are, she knew at 8 weeks old she wasn’t wanted and the couple who had her, knew she knew this. Another amazing thing about her is that she also knew that I had come to take her to her forever home. These dogs are so in touch with their people. Darra has shown how courageous the Leos are too; we could not have come this far with her if she didn’t want to please us and if she didn’t try with all her might to get over something that deeply affected her.
